O-Shot for Women

Bladder Incontinence and a Rejuvenated Sex Life

What is the O Shot?

The O-Shot®, developed by Dr. Charles Runels, is an advanced non-surgical treatment option for women suffering from urinary incontinence and sexual dysfunction. The O-Shot® utilizes PRP, or platelet-rich plasma, which is extracted from a woman’s own blood. The extracted PRP is injected directly into the anterior vaginal wall to stimulate regrowth of new tissues including collagen, blood vessels, and nerves.

The O-Shot® Process

Once you are onsite and ready for treatment at Genesis Salon & Day Spa, one of our physicians will extract a small amount of your blood. Once the appropriate amount of blood is extracted, it is then spun in a centrifuge, effectively separating the platelet-rich plasma from the rest of the blood components. The highly concentrated PRP is then injected into the anterior vaginal wall, initiating a natural regenerative response from the body.

Sexual Dysfunction

The O-Shot® is a revolutionary approach for women living with sexual dysfunction. The O-Shot® has the potential to utilize your body’s unique ability for self-healing and repair to restore the physical sensations you’ve lost or perhaps never even had. It is an all-natural, painless and non-surgical procedure that can rejuvenate and revitalize vaginal and clitoral function, giving you dramatically improved sensitivity and significantly enhance your sex drive.

Urinary Incontinence

Urinary incontinence is a condition that involves a loss of bladder control resulting in unintentional urination or leakage of urine during the course of physical activity. The primary cause of urinary incontinence is due to the weakening of the sphincter pelvic muscles, often caused by childbirth. It impacts women of all ages, affecting one in twenty women in their 20’s and 50% of women 50 years of age and older.

Urinary incontinence interferes with your personal and social life, hygiene and overall health. Often times it occurs during a stress event, typically characterized by lifting something heavy, laughing, coughing or sneezing. Women tend to avoid enjoyable activities like going to exercise class, running around with their kids or grandkids, jumping on a trampoline to avoid leaking urine.

The O-Shot®, in addition to treating sexual dysfunction, is also an effective treatment option for women living with urinary incontinence. The O-Shot® employs PRP extracted from your blood and injected into the localized region. The injected PRP activates your own stem cells in the area, effectively stimulating the muscle tissues to regenerate and improve their strength and ability to prevent urine flow.

The O-Shot® is not for everyone. If you have uterus or bladder prolapse and Dr Willard recommends surgery, then this procedure may not be right for you.

Learn how this treatment works

The O-Shot® procedure is a quick, usually painless, 20 minute, non-surgical procedure.  The O-Shot® begins with a simple blood draw from the arm. The clitoris and vagina are first numbed. Then, using a proprietary technique, platelet rich plasma (PRP) is extracted from the blood and injected into near the clitoris and upper vagina. There is no recovery time and the results are almost immediate in some women. Full results appear in 2-3 months.
